ECE performed numerous Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assesment Studies. ECE environmental professionals reviewed and analyzed background information of the properties, performed site inspections, interviewed people with knowledge of site areas, reviewed environmental records, and documented findings in a report prepared for the clients. Some of the locations where ECE provided these services are listed below.

Tyndall AFB
ECE performed a study to determine the efficiency of oil-water separators in treating Tyndall AFB wastewater. ECE investigated and characterized the processes and activities which occur at each oil water separator (OWS). ECE also investigated the capability of existing OWS to provide sufficient pretreatment to comply with the Bay County Advanced Wastewater Treatment (AWT) Standards, and recommended cost-effective solutions that would meet the Bay County AWT Standards.
ECE revised and updated the hazardous waste plan for the base as well as reviewed applicable Air Force instruction and federal and state regulations. We conducted site visits at each facility operating on base, interviewed facility personnel, reviewed records, inspected waste accumulation points and documented waste minimization management practices. The plan provides guidance for the management of hazardous waste by establishing procedures for proper waste accumulation, storage and transportation from point of generation to final disposition. Other locations include:
ECE performed an environmental study to determine appropriate treatment of wastewater from the bus facility. The wastewater generated from bus washing and engine steam cleaning activities at the facility flows through a gravity Oil/water separator (OWS) prior to discharge to the combined sewer system that flows to Blue Plains Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). ECE performed cost analysis of treatment alternatives and provided recommendations after comparing the biological treatment with the other existing technologies that were applicable to the site.

SPCC Plans
ECE prepared Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans for various clients in accordance with 40 CFR part 112. The SPCC Plans prepared by ECE helped the clients demonstrate their compliance with the regulations. Some of the facilities where ECE prepared SPCC Plans are:

Crownsville Wall
ECE prepared stormwater management plan that addresses pollution prevention during the construction of the 178-foot span pedestrian bridge. The primary objective was to prevent the pollutants from reaching the southwest creek during the mobilization and construction activities. Other facilities that ECE has prepared Stormwarer Pollution Prevention Plan are:

Oil Water Separator
ECE reviewed the design of an existing Oil Water Separator and assisted the client in complying with prevailing regulations by recommending modifications to the design.
